Default Yellow Alert

Looking at the Met Office's Weather Warnings page, for tomorrow
(Tuesday) the whole of the UK now seems to be coloured either yellow or
orange. I wonder if that has ever happened previously since the system
was launched.

Southend-on-Sea now has warnings for snow for Tuesday pm, Wednesday &
Thursday.

Far better to judge forecasts after the event than to attempt to do so
in advance.
