Quick update from what seems to be the eye of the storm, shock horror.

Snow stopped for 15 minutes at 19:35 then started again. Now, it's:

+0.4 dec C continuous moderate snow, 8cm level depth.

This is now the heaviest snowfall and deepest accumulation of snow
that I've seen in the 20 years since I moved here.

It is now snowing heavily again here and I've just had confirmation
that it's just as bad right down to the Solent coast at Lee on Solent
(Solent MRSC). There is 5 inches of it at Lee on Solent and still
heavy snow there.

The M27 motorway is blocked at junction 9, a mile from me. This is
getting seriously scary now.

+0.1deg C heavy snow 10cm depth, perfectly level.
