Continuous moderate rain started here a few minutes ago.
Temperature is +2.1 deg C. By brother oop north in E. Stockport had 10 inches of level snow last night and it's still snowing. Nightmare scenario there, people unable to get to work, I wonder if it'll be mentioned on the National News? -- Dave Fareham (W) |

Already happened - one of the BBC's roving reporters was in Stockport on the BBC lunchtime news. |

Now proper snowflakes. -- Elizabeth |

Now an even cover of 2 cm and coming down as if it means business! 2.0degC. and pressure falling fast. |

Yes, you'll probably get it worse... but... we now have 2cm of snow covering all surfaces including side streets. Large flakes feeling wet but certainly lying. No wind hence no Channel air (yet). +0.2 deg C, continuous heavy snow. Dave Fareham (W) Locks heath 40m asl. |

Quick update from what seems to be the eye of the storm, shock horror. Snow stopped for 15 minutes at 19:35 then started again. Now, it's: +0.4 dec C continuous moderate snow, 8cm level depth. This is now the heaviest snowfall and deepest accumulation of snow that I've seen in the 20 years since I moved here. Dave Fareham (W) Locks Heath 40m asl. |
