Nothing to be seen on the radar for all of todays heavy showers though. I
don't know what happened to them. A couple first up this morning then
nothing in East Anglia , as far as I can see.

That lows now moved across land, we should see our wind change SE then
East then back to NE in the next 12 to 18 hours, once it's more in the
east that lot just to the right of the animation should head our way.

Been up to 0.6°C I notice in Southend.

Well if its anything like the ones given out early this morning for London
and the SE we won't have too much to worry about.

Moan mode back over a couple of days rest.

I was full expecting some very hefty showers watching the BBC breakfast news
which actually showed it snowing in Chelmsford live. However once in work
and on the PC looking at the radar I could see that the hyperbole machine
had once again sprung into action . Looking at the UKmet site even they
(sarcasm) had out advisory warnings for accumulations of several
centimeters. My college came all the way from Whistable then her husband
called to say there was a blizzard down there (he's words)

I really would wish that UKMO instead of giving red warnings for the world
would just calm down and say something along the lines of of 'there could
be some very heavy showers today but you may not see any we just don't know.
