Default MODIS image of the British Isles

This image, taken at 13.40Z today, shows almost the whole of the GB snow
covered as well as 2/3 of Ireland. Only the SW of Ireland is snow free on
low ground.

There's the usual edge distortion on the right side of the image.

Go via the sub-sets they have been processed to remove the
distortions:

Amazing images from Terra and Aqua, you can see towns an cities quite
clearly, along with forested areas and lakes.

Multiple threads yes, not crossed. Mike posted links to the MODIS
realtime images that suffer repeats and distortion at the edges. I
added a comment linking to the subset images that have been processed
to remove those imaging artifacts.
