Over on Joe B's European blog he links this from NASA
http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=42260 As you will see there is real intensity of cold on the NH land masses but the Atlantic and Pacific Arctic, Alaska , Eastern Siberia and Greenland showing positive anomalies . It makes sense that the arctic ice formation has slowed down as overall the arctic seems to be exporting cold south over the land masses and drawing it back over the oceans , Funny though as Joe mischievously says "Heck Of a Way to Run a Warm up" http://www.accuweather.com/ukie/bast...er=accuweather |
