Default Severe weather warning NE England (again)

Yet more snow to come!
Why are the warnings rarely wrong for Copley? Do I attract snow?
Up to 30cm with drifting and icing on power lines 18Z Sunday to noon
Monday.
Even my Jeep is struggling now!

It's snowing quite heavily again now, but just putting a couple of cm
down, I hope.

Because you are in a "proper" place for snow. You get it even when there
isn't a warning;-)

You must be mistaken. I've just seen Laura Tobin and there's only snow over
Kent on the current chart, though she did say there might just be the odd
light snow shower over NE England but nothing to bother about.

I suppose all that I've been seeing over E and NE England on the radar for
ages is anaprop. ;-)

Hi, Dave,
Sounds like my dad when he used to give me a clip around the ear back
in the 50's!

Thanks for the kind words, Lawrence and go to Scarborough next time,
much warmer.

No 2 son returning to Wanstead tomorrow (by train), hopefully before
the warning kicks in.

Best wishes to all.
Ken

You seem to, you'll often be mentioning snow but, what 15 miles away,
we don't get anything.

We had had a fresh inch over night and there has been some thing fine
falling in the wind for the last few hours. But no real snow fall.

Be interesting to see what we get tommorow into Monday.

We do seem to catch this North sea stuff more than you, but not as
much as others closer to the coast.
5cm fresh to 17Z back to 44cm now 3.4mm snow converted.
I wonder what the depths are on the North York Moors by now.

Ken
