We have a funeral to attend in Surrey on Wednesday. My elderly mother
and husband have to drive up from The Lizard to Surrey. What will be the best day for them to travel. Monday or Tuesday? Thanks in advance Mark Southend |

Thanks in advance Mark Southend Neither day is ideal, Mark, but if it was me I'd go on Monday to avoid the heavier sleet/snow expected to spread into the far SW during Tuesday. Jon. |

Devon Stan Stan, I'd focus on the advisory for Tuesday in the first instance which details the risk of heavy snow for all of Devon and Cornwall http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/..._warnings.html Eventually it's likely to turn to rain down this way but exactly where the rain/snow line will end up in terms of both eastward extent and altitude is far from certain.
