Plumbed the chilly depths of -12C here on the NE coast last night. Went
for a walk across Udale Bay at low tide trying not to disturb the feeding bird life unduly. Returned to -4.7C in the shed and -8C outside. Now at 1530 it's -10C outside and clear skies, no wind & 1034mb. Pink sky to the west. Stunning. Outdoor curling in Inverness tomorrow - best pop the stones outside to "acclimatise". Not great when they have a vertically component when travelling :-] Still awaiting alternative Grand Match venue - maybe the "blazers" at the RCCC have given up. -- Email me? I'm not a P.A. ! |

It was suggested in my morning paper that what had scuppered the big event was an inability to arrange insurance. -- John Hall "Acting is merely the art of keeping a large group of people from coughing." Oh gosh, crivens, help ma bob, did the Central Police know!!!!PC Flynn will be having kittens. That's so spontaneous and risky! How will they manage to mitigate any threats to the public. Outrageous, who is responsible for that show of uncontrolled public enjoyment? What if someone was hurt? Dont the public understand the importance of obeying authority and not stepping outside at all? I hope full massive cotton wool body armour was worn by everyone so that it can be reported that everyone was adequately prepared. etc etc etc ZZZZzzzzzz..... |
