hardly going to pass muster when the NOAA record shows good agreement
with the two other land based records and the two satellite records.

Have you considered that "obscure Australian sites" may not be the
best of places to get global climate information from? And have you
considered what I said about NOAA's global climate records showing
good statistical agreement with the trends shown in all the other 4
global climate series records?
