Seem to be two or three reports of mild temperatures today. Haven't
been out much today but was out at a little after 1600 when it actually felt coldish, or at least no higher than average (this was Southampton). I'd have estimated 7C at absolute maximum - anyone have any figures for this area for around that time? Nick |

I'd have to counter that "mostly clear" observation though - no sign of any stars outside! Nick |

When I got home from work at 1700, I was could watch the dew point sensor steadily counting back from about 4.4C to 3.6C in about an hour or so. Now showing 3.2C The cloud base by my estimate is between 5 000 and 7 000 ft. For the purposes of the little airfields round here this reports as "None below 5000ft", which is true enough even though the amount is either 8/8 or 7/8. -- - Yokel - Yokel @ Ashurst New Forest SU 336 107 17m a.s.l. It never happened though and was wet by 2300, and this morning there's the impression that the Atlantic has won - though not, it would appear, for long. That said blue sky is visible for the first time since sunset on Monday, and I certainly welcome that! Nick |
