Twenty to dry is the best I can offer for the first one. The second is
more likely spot on. A wet spell. Then a nice dry one (again?) I seem
to remember well defined Anticyclones for the start of the year.

Pity I don't keep records. Anyone here do data ding?

The 30th Jan is on the cusp as near 20 past but as it is an hex, it is
already a foggy one. Sort of flaccid flaccid so to speak.

5th Feb is again a near foggy spell. Whilst things for the 14th are
decidedly thundery. I'll try and remember that Is that what a Bartlet
nnnnnoo I don't think so...

Which brings us to the present spell:
22nd Feb: 00:42

You can now see my dilemma. Hours of 6 or 12 mean fog with a
"positive" state of the cycle in the North Atlantic. But things have
been everything but have they not?

On the cusp of a very wet spell hardly seems to cover things. However
nature tends to throw out troughs on these occasions; like a last
straw to a drowning man.

Crap!
28th Feb: 16:38.
What am I supposed to do with that?

Wisely I beat a retreat. The 7th Mar is no better: 15:42. Twenty to
sixteen. IIRC the 4 and 16 hours produce tornadoes in the USA.

If that helps.

And the next two spells should be positive North Atlantic anomalies.
15th Mar 21:01 Thundery.
23rd Mar 11:00 Anticyclonic.

HTH.
