After many days of thoroughly miserable cold and rainy weather, today was
lovely change. Nice 'n' dry air with plenty of sunshine though that wind was
a bit keen at times.

Very low RH for here for the time of year with just 57% giving a dewpoint of
0.5°C at 15:15. No wonder all the roads/surfaces etc dried out quickly
today. Even the lawn doesn't squelch when you walk on it this evening.

This has been quite a dull month but the 7.5 hours of sunshine today brought
the total so far for February up to 62.2 hours, therefore beating my dullest
month (Feb 2007) by an hour.

A max of 9.2°C this afternoon after an overnight low of 3.3°C.

Pretty nasty storm brewing south of Portugal, I suspect they are not as well
equipped to cope with high winds as we are, and I know from experience that
the sewers are woefully inadequate in Lisbon to cope with anything but the
lightest of rain. Strange really considering that Portugal can be a very wet
place with frequent heavy rains. The reason is more to do with poor planning
and the concreting over of all the surfaces. I've warned the outlaws of
what's coming for tomorrow.

A clear and starry evening with a lovely view of the Moon and Mars, only 6°
apart. Mars is just about at conjunction.
