A large single cell showed up on the radar this morning with some
intense ppt shown. It looked like a fault on the radar image but this afternoon after a sunny morning a CB moved in from the WNW and the sky darken, hail could be seen moving across the sky but it moved away to the SE a driving a few miles away in sheffield it appeared there had been a shower. The radar showed that this was the same shower. I was supprised that the a single shower made it so far inland from the sea then break up into lighter showers. Was there some sort of disturbance in the flow? Thanks. Simon S (South Yorkshire) |
