Default 1 week of this new snow. Aberfeldy

Another cold sparkling blue sky day with around 18cm of frozen snow.
Been here since last Wednesday. Folks at the top of our village
(1100ft asl) just managed to finally get out yesterday after being
snowed in for 6 days - they have around 1 mile of single track above
1000 feet to navigate before descending into the valley and it was
impassable and frozen.

The river has frozen again. last 4 nights have see a low min ave of
-8.5 C (grass -10.2). Feb ave min was -3.5 C. 59 days with snow in
garden so far. I received a report of 75cm of snow last Thursday at
the top of Aberfeldy, near Loch na Craige which is probably about
right as the snow up there remained from the 27.12 dump.

Brian, like you, this is my 59th. day of snow lying. Still about 15cm. and
frozen solid after another cold night of minus 12.2C. Maximum temp today was
+4.1C but near the surface it did not rise above zero and the snow shows no
signs of moving. Cloudy for part of the day but no precipitation. Oh to be
in the tropics of Dartmoor!

LOL yes I'm envious of your snow Phil!
Only 22 days snow lying here at home (35 much higher up), but I was
surrounded by green fields lower down.

Still here today Will - day 60! Overnight rain and showers today could put
paid to it by the middle of next week (ground still well frozen) and we
might see some grass - wonder what that looks like?
