Just 3.6mm recorded so far in Wishaw throughout March.
The driest March locally of the last 50 years was 1969 with just 15mm. The Atlantic influence on conditions is well and truely back after a three month plus absence. The average temperature is still 1บC below the mean however and the average minimum 2.5บC below the average, this despite yesterday recording one of the highest March minimum's on record (+8.3บC). An interesting aside, the entire winter mean in Wishaw was +0.2บC, but if we apply the American definition of seasons (solstice to equinox), the mean would be +0.6บC for the winter. I think we've got the right system, I would hate to wait until the 21st of June for summer to arrive :-) Alex. บบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบบ Conditions in Wishaw @ 5:10pm, 19/3/10 Temperature 9.6ฐC.
