Well at least those polar bears won't get sunburned,

Very interesting... and yet another variable to consider in terms of
climate change...

Not really new. In May 2007, I forecast that summer would see a record
low amount of ice and I based it on what looked to me to have been a
large amount of ice (for recent years) having been blown through the
Fram Strait during the winter and spring.

Oddly, so did I.

The same information has been on the NSIDC site for nearly 3 weeks.

"Volume of Arctic sea ice last summer may have been lowest on record –
and possibly worst in 8,000 years"

Who is to say what is worse ? Nature will do what nature wants. Maybe
in 50 years we can build a warm holiday resort in the Artic ? Good for
business, no ?

Not in Blackpool !. With temperatures rising by 30C to make the Arctic
villages into a Mediterranean type resorts, then Britain will be
turned into a tropical hell hole.

Cheers, Alastair.
