I hope the SE is faring better than the SW today. Driving drizzle/
light rain in a force 4, gusting stronger, southerly all day since
0900. Foggy; visibility has been 100m at times; 200m presently.

Altogether foul. A day for staying in and avoiding the weather.

The SE - or my bit of Surrey at least - didn't fare much better. It was
reasonably bright first thing, but the weather deteriorated and the
drizzle set in - very lightly at first - a little before noon. The
afternoon became progressively darker and wetter.

Just slightly warmer feeling vile weather because of the lack of wind,
though temperatures are a degree lower than yesterday. The drizzle is
now coming down fairly vertically through the fog. Nice.

Has been much better than expected so far in Southampton area, though
rather thundery looking to the west at present.
Still maybe there'll be a band of heavy rain then it'll clear to the
polar stuff expected at the weekend. (Here's hoping)

It's been drizzling now, in a host of different ways, for two solid
days and showing no signs of letting up. Suicide weather..........- Hide quoted text -

The drizzle's stopped! Cloudy and feeling cool in a force 2 southerly,
but the visibility has improved a little and the sun did try to make
an appearance (didn't quite make it through the clouds though!). Just
"fairly miserable" today.

The drizzle has been replaced by moderate rain, which has set in with
a vengeance, though the wind has almost dropped out.

Geez. If I wanted weather like this, I'd live in Haytor. *))
