.... you missed out on some intense rainfall last night (see report
elsewhere from Romsey): moderate/heavy rain between 2130 & 2300Z and
our total by 09Z (24hr) this morning was 14.0mm. Half expected at one
point a sharp flash of lightning/crack of thunder, but nothing
detected here.

Like so much Dorset weather, it's extremely local. Not sure we need more
rain now: we've had 61.5mm in the last 6 days to 09z today. But it looks
as if we'll get some more in the next few hours. And I could do without
the lightning, thanks!
