Strange thing to say in March but that's how it's been. At least we've
lost the all-day drizzle: yesterday and today have actually been the better days of this week, against the forecast expectations. (Southampton) Bright but very humid until about 11.30am, then sudden deterioration to heavy rain moving in from the SW. This persisted until about 2 when it got brighter, and by 3 we enjoyed that thing that's been so rare lately - a daylight level typical of the lighter 6 months of the year (which now we're in, lest we forget) and strong, bright sun. Didn't last though and got rapidly darker in the SW just before 4. Several instances of lightning and thunder just before 4, then torrential rain for about 15 minutes. Uncommonly dark for the time of day and year until about 4.30, but now getting brighter from the SW. Might actually have a decent end to the day today! Not at all March like I have to say, but not out of place in August. Nick |
