Thunder heard to SW. Looking very black between S and W. 1703z. tl to SW, much closer. Now closing down for a while. Update: 1720z. tl now moved away to north, still steady hvy ra falling. The storm passed ovhd at 1707z, with a couple of quite close lightning flashes. Torrential rain at that time with brief hail mixed in, and a wind squall to 33kt. Vis reduced to ca 1000m. As far as I could judge, nearly all the lightning was cloud to cloud. -- Bernard Burton Wokingham, Berkshire, UK. Weather satellite images at: www.woksat.info/wwp.html |
