Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Friday. Issued
0442z, 29/03/10. The weekend will be wet and windy for many, with low pressure crossing the UK. ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif SW'lies cover the UK as the result of lows to the north and west. The latter moves across Scotland on day 6, bringing westerlies and SW'lies elsewhere. There's little change on day 7. MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif The UK lies under SW'lies, again with lows to the north and west. A trough moves eastwards on day 6. GFS: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png Lows lie to the north and west, resulting in SW'lies over the UK. The winds become SSE'lies on day 6 as the low to the west deepens to the SW. On day 7 the low crosses England, with southerlies in advance and NW'lies following behind. GEM: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rgem1201.gif The Canadian run brings SW'lies with a low to the ENE. JMA: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rjma1201.gif Unavailable today. |
