Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Saturday.
Issued 0428z, 18/05/10. The weekend will see a slow transition to slightly cooler conditions as a northerly or NW'ly flow sets in across the UK on Sunday. ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif The UK lies under high pressure and light winds. On day 6 NW'lies cover the UK as the high moves westwards, followed by light winds as a ridge declines over the UK on day 7. MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif The Met Office run shows NW'lies and a high to the west. Stronger NNW'lies cover the UK on day 6 as high pressure builds to the WNW. GFS: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png High pressure covers the UK, with light winds for all. On day 6 the high declines to the NW, leading to northerlies for the UK. There are NE'lies on day 7, as pressure remains high to the north.
