Some very nice weather on the way, with the Azores high nosing in to
give warmth and light winds with sunshine for many. Barbie time really this weekend, with 25C quite possible in some areas and perhaps 28-30 in some fortunate locations. High summer there really. We'll really notice the change in the evenings and mornings, as we'll lose the cold feel that we've had. The high does look like it will persist, blocking the Atlantic, but the odds are that it will settle to our west, after the weekend lowering the temperatures somewhat and also introducing the possibility of more ash from iceland and more air traffic disruptions. A weekend to be out and about! Enjoy. |

I remember when I lived in Crowthorne Berkshire we got that kind of heat every year - guaranteed and it was so oppressive. Thank goodness I now live where anything much above 24C is rare. On hot days I prefer to stay at home and just do nothing, definitely not to be "out and about" - far too sweaty (unless it is on the sea of course). Will (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) -- |

You'll get nothing like it in your Dartmoor eyrie! 23C and sunshine for Dawlish by the weekend and after we get rid of the drizzle today would be absolutley perfick for me! |
