A max of 20.7°C in the sunshine this afternoon makes it the warmest day this
year beating the previous warmth of 20.1°C on the 10th April. Over 8.5 hours
of sunshine today so far.

You have to go all the way back to the 27th September to find a day with a
temperature higher than today, such was the lack of any really warm days
throughout October last year.

Not as cold as the previous few nights with a low of 6.3°C.

A much warmer feeling evening without that 'coolness', probably helped by
the higher humidity and DPs.

Looking forward to some real warmth this weekend, and with higher humidity
and calm conditions, it should be ideal for warming that sea up, whose
surface temperature has been struggling of late. SST on the coast here is
hovering around the 11.5°C to 12.0°C today, I suspect it will quickly warm
now given the strength/height of the sun and the right conditions, could
reach 15°C this weekend with a bit of luck.
