NEW YORK, Sept 9 (Reuters) - The National Hurricane Center
in Miami, Florida, said Tropical Depression 14, which formed
Monday in the far Eastern Atlantic and was packing 30 mile per
hour winds early Tuesday, could strengthen during the next 24
hours.
The NHC issued the following update on Tuesday at 5 a.m.
EDT (0900 GMT). The next update on Tropical Depression 14 will
be issued by the NHC at 11 a.m.
Separately, the NHC said Hurricane Isabel, packing winds of
135 mph, was located about 1,050 miles east of the Northern
Leeward Islands of the Caribbean Sea.
Position: Lat. 11.4 degrees North
Long. 23.6 degrees West
(240 miles south of the Cape Verde Islands)
Track: West near 5 mph
Strength: 30 mph max. sustained winds with higher gusts
