Yesterday and today were days of good contrast as far as rain types
were concerned. Rainfall total 24 hrs to 0900Z today 25.7 mm. Frontal rain which fell from a an extensive low pressure system with fairly classic structure. Today the synoptic arrangement and southwesterly wind was ripe for land based convection along convergence lines here on the SW Peninsula. No rain here on the coast at Wembury. A mostly sunny day with Tmax of 19.5C. Len Wood Wembury, SW Devon |
