This lovely sunny and warm June continues......
Despite the forecasts hinting at it being a cool day with lots of cloud build up and the possibility of showers, it has been the opposite with virtually unbroken afternoon sunshine and warm too, though not as muggy as yesterday making it feel more pleasant. A max of 22.0°C later this afternoon after a min of 10.1°C, and over 8 hours of sunshine so far today. Monthly sunshine now passed 170 hours, and with plenty of sunshine forecast for next week, this could end up being a really sunny June. Being near the south coast with hills to the north, this location is extremely sheltered from that direction. I bet that northerly breeze makes it a different story on the north coast of Devon...... bracing springs to mind. (17:15), 21.8°C, RH 48%, DP 10.1°C, 1017 hPa (S), Wind 5 mph N. _____________________ Nick Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

Well bully for you Nick ...max here in suburban Woodford Green 14.3c for
about 5 minutes .wind gusts up to 22 mph and squalls of rain thru the afternoon, down to 11c now onit's way down to about 7c again. The persistence of winds from a northerly quarter has been quite striking this year ,with low dew points and harsh feeling air on most days ,excellent for that strange group of heat haters we so often hear from.as for me I can't wait for temps into the 20s ,soft air ,and just to enjoy a warm evening outside !. Sorry dwellers of Luton,Exmoor and high Derbyshire ,but you've had a good crack of the whip this year.... RonB "Nick Gardner" wrote in message ... This lovely sunny and warm June continues...... Ron It's going off a bit 'chilly' now if that's any consolation for you. Currently cloudless skies but that DP is dropping, and there is a coolness to the air even though it is still reasonably warm numerically speaking.
