While you bask in sunshine and heat, it is currently (just past 6)
14.8C and pouring with rain NE of Dundee.

I can only say that I despair sometimes.

At least you haven't just been knocked out of the World Cup
in humiliating circumstances......

Max of 25.4C here with plenty of sun but I'd swap that for
your rain and 14.8C for a quarter-final place

England are rubbish Col they are flattered by the foriegn players in the
premiership. The Germans don't have the situation where their league is full
of non-German players whilst ours is due to the money involved, Our national
side is in terminal decline.

Yes I know OT but Col started it.

I think it is too easy to use the foreign infux of players as a scapegoat.
Remember in the 1970s when we failed to qualify for two consecutive
World Cups?
Not many foreign players there, unless you count those from the other
home nations.
I don't know what is going wrong. We have the talent, you can see that
in the Premiership every week, just when they get together as a team it
all seems to go wrong on the big stage.
And even more remarkably, this is a team that swept all before them in
qualification, winning 9 out of 10 games and only losing when they
had already qualified.

Boy oh boy, are the press goning to have a field day tomorrow morning....

Yes I know OT but Col started it.

True, but at least I provided a snippet of weather information!
And I have now changed the subject line accordingly.....

I have only come back into the house for something to eat. It's
been sunny and warm all day, and it's still warmer outside than
inside the house. I don't believe what the outside temperature
sensor says, but the inside one says 24.6 degrees C.

I spoke too soon. There was an ominous rumble a few minutes ago,
so I scurried out to take in certain items of garden gear. It
has just begun to rain and looks as if it will be heavy. Outside
temperature has plummeted suddenly, probably because the rain
has hit the sensor.

Anne
Warm and dry indoors

Not as a scapegoat but as a fact Col. The wind of change is blowing through
English football with ominous dark clouds on the horizon.

Maybe not but, in spite of that, 11 of their squad weren't born in Germany.

Never mind, England beat the old enemy again today.
