After a minimum of 15.2C last night, already 18.4C @ 09:00.
There has been little change in temperature here since the 'hot spell' in the SE, our last really warm weather being late June. E.g. Max Temps during the so called hot spell. 7th 20.5 8th 20.0 9th 21.4 10th 21.4 Then yesterday 20.4 (20.6 at the official Scilly site)) Today 20-21 again seems likely. Temperatures have been remarkably constant here for the last 5 weeks. Graham Penzance |

We've led a bit of a charmed existence in Penzance, only getting 1 real shower since 09:00. Not much sun over just a mile inland. The sun at times is really strong. Such that my solar panels, which have an official peak output of 1.48kw, were generating 1.61Kw at one stage. Max, so far 19.9C. Overnight there was 2.8mm of rain, 0.6mm since 09:00. Wind gusty but not particularly strong, a force 4 generally. Enough sun to fill the beach car park http://www.chapelidne.com/php/surf_report.php looks a reasonable wave as well. I think I'll check it out. Graham Penzance |
