uk.sci.weather (UK Weather) (uk.sci.weather) For the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted. The discussion is open to all, but contributions on a practical scientific level are encouraged. |

The frontal cloud is now streaming in, but this morning saw long sunny
periods on the coast. It's been windy, one of those days when the wind increases quite dramatically right on the sea front. Around Force 4 at my site 800 yards or so back, Force 7 on exposed parts of the sea front. A big sea running - blown out, dangerous & totally unsurfable at Porthleven. Worth looking at the pics at http://www.turnstone-cottage.co.uk/picsPL.html Despite the strong onshore wind, temperature 19.2C @ around noon today. Graham Penzance |
