Hello
I know this is "old", but up to now I've been running this software on my PC without any problems. I am A fully fledged VP2 wireless owner too. The reason I am running both. My weather station for all intents and purposes is running with VP2 wireless on Windows 7 - installed last week and everything is fine - downloading and performing just as on previous platform on Windows XP. Davis WM2 and weatherlink 4.0 had been working perfectly too on windows XP. I use this for recording solely grass minimum temperatures as it gives reading to 1 decimal place and is an excellent way of checking on number of ground frosts for submission to COL. Anyway the upshot is I have installed the weatherlink 4 software and that's fine. I can see all my data up until last weekend 10 July. BUT I can't communicate with the WM2 monitor for some reason. It's asking me to check the serial ports and none appear to be working. I've done all the checks with loop back and it can't find the loopback either. Can someone please remind me of the procedure, or is this problem related to the new Operating system - WIndows 7? seems a bit coincidental to me, but why would the install work and not the comm ports?? Any help appreciated Thanks Rob |
