Well that goes against my expectations.
It's 7 months after the peak of the last El Nino, La Nina conditions are present across most of the equatorial Pacific and denialist commentators like Watts, Spencer and *******i have been, very publically, saying how quickly they expect temperatures to fall as "global cooling" kicks in. Unfortunately, RSS has recorded the warmest July on record, a month significantly warmer than June and the warmest global month since March. That wasn't in the script and, like I say, it's a surprise to me how warm the RSS figure is. UAH will be out soon and the daily values have had July trending below last year. See if there's any agreement, or whether RSS is out on a limb. If there is agreement and you are a climate denier - best to stay quiet, I think, until next month - when I promise it will begin to get cooler.......... maybe! RSS +0.608C. Warmest July in 130 years at the start of a La Nina. Unprecedented warmth in the era of recordings. |

I think you mean "Globally, July has shown warming, not cooling as expected - RSS". The comma after "cooling" made the sentence equivalent to "Globally, July has shown warming as expected, not cooling - RSS". Sorry to harp on, but it's important to clarify it. -- John Hall "I don't even butter my bread; I consider that cooking." Katherine Cebrian |

It is important. ",not cooling," is not a sub-clause. TY for the clarification John. |
