Default Peter Gibbs forecast tonight?

Did anyone see this after the 10.30pm BBC news. he showed a graphic of
rainfall over the S.E, through London, Essex and Kent in particular and said
"quite significant rainfall". Looking at the radar there is some in Norfolk
that seems to be moving north east. Is this going to return south?
Otherwise shurely shome mistake?
Dave

Dave, I didnt see it, but wondered from the evening TAF for Heathrow:
EGLL 061823Z 0618/0724 20010KT 9999 BKN008 BECMG 0618/0621
SCT030 PROB30 TEMPO 0621/0705 7000 RA BKN009=

Where the RA (admittedly Prob 30) during the night is going to come from
- looking at the Aviation charts for 00z and 06z there doesn't seem to
be any wave on the CF....

No - just wondering........ and as it has turned out nearly spot on!
Intensifying rain band moved East across the region overnight and
looks significant. OK it was a bit further north maybe but I got
1.9mm which is significant for here and it's topped up the water
butt. I couldn't have predicted that and nor could you so credit
where credit is due.

Yep... was a bit puzzled reading this thread sat under some very
significant rainfall here in Folkestone. It's been a very wet morning here!
