The total rainfall for the event (which has now essentially cleared
west Cornwall) was 45.8mm. Just as notable is the almost tropical feel to the air that has followed it. Currently the dewpoint's nudging 19C, air temperature 19.4C, misty & drizzly. The slightest exertion & you're covered in sweat. The MetO are currently forecasting air temperatures well below the actual dewpoint E.g. 16C for Scilly where it's currently 18C & thick sea mist. The unusually warm north Atlantic no doubt playing it's part in the very high dew points of late. There could be some great surfing conditions in a few days. http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn2041.png is very exciting from a surfing perspective. Warm offshore wind to go with the clean swell.
