.... as noted in my thread subject " East Dorset gloom August 2010 ",
it looks (provisionally / adding up the hourly KZS output today) as if Hurn has had its lowest sunshine total for August in the record via. the Met Office web site (begins 1969). The total is going to be ~104 hrs (KZ sensor), which represents roughly 56% of the LTA 1971-2000, and beats the previous lowest (also set using this sensor) in August 2008 (116 hrs). As noted in my earlier thread, relating the various sunshine records after a change of instrument is problematical, but I'm pretty sure that August 2010 has been the dullest such-named month hereabouts for at least 40 years.
