Default Weather Observers Website?

Just read in the COL bulletin that the MetO have/are going to (delete
as appropriate) set up a Weather Observers Website where amateaur
observers can send in their observations.

Can't find anything about it on the MetO site - Can anyone help?

I know it's true - so why the intrigue? If you know anything just tell
me, no need to make a big deal out of it.

I'm aware that a Dr. Gill Ryall from the MetO has been giving
presentations on the subject.

I trust this is not all part of the impending Whitehall cuts? Are we
about to see the Met Office close observing sites (is there enough
left to close?) and replace them with three dozen amateurs using Six's
thermometer readings?

She has the authority to say things on the subject - I don't.
