A perk of my job is that a spend quite a bit of time in Bermuda. I've
not been in "high summer" but have had a sticky glimpse of what it can be like here in the really uncomfortable months of August and September. The graph below shows various parameters for October at the airport he http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/...pe=1&width=500 You can see how late on the 7th the wind switched from south to north bringing a change from the stifling high humidity - using the METAR notation, 27/24, to a more bearable 27/18. I'm guessing that partly responsible for this change is the sea surface temperatures encountered from the air coming from the north. Very little signs of post-Igor damage - only seen one boarded up window. Richard |
