Wembury frost 21st Oct 2010
First ground frost of the season here at 83 m asl in Wembury.
Air min 1.4C. It is not unusual to have a ground frost sometime in October. An air frost is rare though. The earliest is 17th Oct 1992 when temp dropped to -0.6C. Obs back to1985. Does not look like that record will be broken this October. Len Wood Wembury, SW Devon |

Len,
Overnight low in my Teignmouth back garden was +0.5c last night, although on my drive to work this morning through Combeinteignhead my car thermometer dropped to -2.0c. |
