Currently falling and 967 sea level (915 actual). This getting a bit close to the 958 that we had on Christmas Eve 1999 that ripped the roof of the shed in the F9/10 gusting 60mph+ winds. The chart for midnight tonight doesn't look very friendly for here. It was fairly breezy last night but nothing really sustained just a rapid climb up to F9 (Gusts 55mph) and equally rapid drop back down again over 6 hours. Tonight into tommorow may well bring several hours of sustained high winds around F9. The last few hours have seen the pressure start to fall and the wind to rise, only F5 to F6 ATM so nothing at all really. -- Cheers Dave. Nr Garrigill, Cumbria. 421m ASL. |

Purely from a selfish point of view, I'd like to see reports from Steve Loft in Orkney, Dave Wheeler in Fair Isle and anybody in Shetland :-) -- MCC |
