Default North Sea vortices

Watching the satellite sequence, as well as a steady stream of vortices
peeling off Scandinavia and heading for NE Scotland, something is
starting to spin up in the central\southern North Sea.

Could be some resurgence in the shower activity for coastal areas of the
North Sea later on.

Just watched the BBC East forecast and they are suggesting
accumulations tonight for east of Suffolk and NE Essex. I've also
noticed that the barometric pressure has been falling slowly this
morning and continues to do so. Certainly there is a lot going on out
in the North Sea and a subtle change in synoptic s could make a big
difference as to where some snowfall may occur. The models had always
been hinting a more easterly flow by Saturday. I'm sure the
forecasters will be looking very closely as to what's going on in the
North Sea, Saturday morning may hold some surprises.

They also mentioned heavy drifting snow Tuesday/Wednesday with max
temps +4°C min temps -2°C, I'm a bit skeptical still on this, sleet
and rain I feel will be the order of the day apart from some of the
higher inland areas, Luton comes to mind here.

Pressure was rising at Amsterdam but has fallen back since 10am, wind
direction has also been SSE ~ South, there's a low at work in the
south North Sea.

Amsterdam
13 1004.5
12 1004.9
11 1005.3
10 1005.8
09 1005.7

Looking quite impressive on the visible animation.
