But the synoptics simply aren't right for significant snow in NW England at the moment. I may get the odd flurry in the wind but that will be about it. I need a cold NW wind which doesn't look likely in the near future at least. But as was amply demonstrated last winter it *can* deliver, my time will come ![]() -- Col Bolton, Lancashire 160m asl |

Dave- Hide quoted text - Hi, Dave, It looks white and it's cold and slippery. Usual winter probs here - Bishop Auckland's game off, will we get to the dance tonight, will my daughter get back to Teesside alright and return Tuesday, will I get to see the grandchildren tomorrow, will we get the shopping in etc etc. Lots of close looking at the forecasts, lots of questions asked (some people around here think I can forecast!!). That's a NE Pennine winter for you, but luckily there is lots of winter driving expert advice on this ng so I shouldn't get stuck (;0) Got my belated bus pass the other day, Dave so I could go green, sell my Jeep and use the stage coach for nothing! That would stop AGW though and Copley needs warming. Best wishes, Ken, Copley, Teedale |
