Thousands of people are stuck in their cars in Central Scotland
tonight - in fact probably tens of thousands. This is not being
reported on national news networks and the Scottish Govt have gone to
ground ! Not good !!

On BBC Reporting Scotland tonight they spoke with someone stuck on the
M8 near Bathgate who had barely moved in 7 hours. Said everyone was
switching off engines to save fuel and they were now getting very cold.
Hadn't seen any police for 4 hours.

Complete ****ing idiot and liar just interviewed on BBC Newsnight
Scotland, Scottish Transport Minister Stuart Stevenson blaming the fact
that people are still stuck on Scottish Motorways from the morning
commute at 11pm, on the Met Office not forcasting today's snowfall.
Complete bare-faced lie - not only was it forecasted on last night's BBC
forecasts it was clearly highlighted on the NAE. Or more likely, being a
politcian, he's simply a liar. Refused to apologise for the poor
response despite being asked about a dozen times. Said "not forecasted"
though at least a dozen times. Serial liar politician so moronic he
shouldn't be allowed on camera.

Can you tell I'm annoyed? :-)

Please see my later post - blizzarmaggedon in situ to get a very small
perspective on how disasterous the situation was and still is!

You had to dig for it, when I looked at the main BBC News home page
it didn't appear as a story until early evening and then only as a
text link. If the same thing had happened in the SE it would have
been the lead story pushing *everything* else below it.

Both are national stories so should have the same level of coverage
on the national news pages.
