Yes where is my &*%ing snow, just checked with UKMO and the clowns have
been
adamant since last night about snow for the SE from midday tomorrow, why
they even updated this afternoon yet now its gone. Why the bloody hell
can't
they provide a proviso with this charts based on probability what a load
of
morons. By the ways that's a lot of words begining with 'P' and ****ed-off
is anaother one.

I can't wait for tomorrows headline when I wake up to my half a centimetre
of snow

Oh dear I did think there was a chance of some of the snow developing just
to the north west reaching the north west midlands but the met office have
put us back on orange alert.
So that's the end of that then

Graham

Ah Graham, you sound like a man after my own cheesed of heart.

Seriously though if it is crap shouldn't UKMO stop putting it out knowing
people are planning traveling etc on their what is basically lies. I say
lies because if we accept that you can't predict especially during the
current set up; then why show to allintense purposes that you supposedly
can. its no better than snake oil salesman

Gone? What are you looking at that makes you think that? If it's one of
their maps with the sun, cloud and snow symbols, we've discussed before
that these are best ignored. They seem to be generated by a not very
satisfactory piece of software. Much better to go with the text
forecasts and the Weather Warnings, which at least are produced by human
forecasters.

snip

But surely my point is John, if you suggest they are best ignored then why
display the montages of garbage in the first place-what purpose do they
serve?

I wouldn't argue with that. They really ought to have some human input
rather than - as it would seem - being produced totally automatically.
