I thought I should share what it looks like in Mid Wales today. So I
have put a few photos up here. http://users.aber.ac.uk/ais/weather/pics/2010-12/ The 15:55 photo is particularly interesting, if not so clear. Bird footprints going up to or away from a hole in the snow, with bits of grass and moss scattered around the hole. I'd welcome thoughts on what might have caused that.
