Just been down to the city centre (sea level) and it is falling as
rain/sleet there. However I'm only about a mile from the city centre but at about 400 feet altitude and there was a few mm of fresh wet snow on the car before I drove down. Seems to have stopped for the moment. About inline with the NAE prediction so far. On 26/12/2010 21:07, Alan Greig wrote: I can now confirm it is snowing lightly in Dundee. We've had snow on and off from around 8 yesterday evening. It's pretty soft and lying to an addition depth of 2-3 inches on top of the compacted snow and ice that was down to 10 cm by yesterday morning (if I may mix measurement units). Temperature at 8.30 is -0.1. I guess that's my deliveries gone for this week too then. -- Trevor Snowed in again in Lundie, near Dundee, elev. 185m Weather through www.trevorharley.com |

Is this intensity of cold really going out with such an underwhelming whimper? Where's the blizzards? The weather warnings for snow today certainly appear, so far, to be overdone. |
