Noriced on some of the METAR reports this morning for Gatwick - (EGKK)
the code 88CLRD99 at the end of the ob anyone know what this might be? As an example: EGKK 271950Z 13007KT 110V170 CAVOK 03/M01 Q1014 88CLRD99 EGKK 280650Z 12004KT 090V170 4000 BR BKN004 03/03 Q1012 88CLRD99 Regards Richard Griffith Horsham CDL |

In the Gatwick example it indicates the runway has been cleared, although given they haven't had any snow recently it's a bit puzzling as to why it's on there. Jon. |
