.... (06/1315Z): a bit further west of you - rain has been moderate, isol
heavy, since 0945Z, currently back to slight and the cloud colour is a
little less dark-grey; rainfall since 09Z = 12 mm.

The clouds quickly parted and the sun burst through
before the rain stopped at 1500Z. Did something
similar happen in down your way, Martin and break
the sunless drought at Hurn? A few 'globs' of snow
(for the want of a better description) occurred during
the final moderate phase around 1415Z.

.... indeed it did! Around 1445Z, as with you, the PPN continued (very
light), but the Ac thinned/broke sufficiently for some weak sunshine
through the upper cloud. A welcome sight! No sign of snow here though or
anything like it.

Martin.

.... but not enough strength / intensity in the sunshine to trigger the
threshold on the sensor at Hurn .... another 'dot' day there, so indeed
yesterday (6th January) was the 11th day of (officially) no sunshine
hereabouts!
