Default Global temperatures now running below average

The 2002 -2010 average but still a welcomed sight. I think all those that
firmly believe that the planet is in danger of rapid AGW must feel relieved
to see a very welcomed move downwards and that's something we can all surely
agree on. Tonight we are united.

Just go to channel 5 and tick 2010 and the average and see just how far the
global temperature has dropped compared to this time last year.

It's certainly come back to average, but that is only for December,
the test will be the future months. Click the same but 2011 and
although still on the low side of the average, quite a steep turn up
has began. But it some conflicting data worth keeping an eye on.

Yes quite agree about the "Mann" part and I know where I'd like to
stick his hockey stick and I wouldn't stop until the 22nd century no
in Garvey's case make the 23rd .

Ah Garvey and Woods the only double act around with two straight men.

Hear their Classic Cover album with classics like

We're Always Having a Heatwave
Garvey its not cold outside
Rainy Night in Dawlish

The album is on sale in all good pound and dollar shops -depending on
the exchange rate and the level people are prepared to stoop to.

Ladies and gentleman Garvey and Woods

Abrupt climate change happens without warning - by definition. So a
downward blip in temperatures is no reassurance that a rapid rise will
not happen tomorrow.

In fact a new pluvial age seems to have begun already with Pakistan,
China, Queensland, Brazil and Sri Lanka all suffering masive floods in
the last few months.

Cheers, Alastair.

I'm no expert, but could these floods in Australia, Brazil & Sri Lanka
be due to stored heat in the Southern Oceans from previous heating
over the past 20 years interacting with colder atmospheric conditions
and producing lots of rain?
