Default (WR) Copley 6/2 gale again

Hi, All,
Just 4 gales total in all 2009 and 2010, now 3 in 4 days!
Current, 1400Z, SW 35KT(F8), overcast, rain (horizontal), temp 8C dew
7C, 1005 falling
Bring back the cold, it's much more pleasant in a Teesdale winter!

Exactly Ken. I have just come back from a 15 mile walk in F6-7 winds at
altitude, rain and drizzle. Air temperature was 6C-8C but wind chill was
close to freezing. In December I walked in a foot of powder snow with the
sun shining and light winds and it felt warm and you could see!

The dreaded SW'lies in winter, don't you just love them.

Hi, Will,
There appears to be hope now for a colder, calmer spell perhaps in a
week or so?
Windsock blew away Friday and I honestly can not find it anywhere in
the village. 4 feet long and bright orange. I think someone with a
grudge against weather nuts is hiding it!
Best wishes,
Ken
